Professor Gitlin will give a brief description of his popular seminar, “Yale and America,” which looks at selected topics in American social and cultural history through the lens of Yale and Yale people. He will then be joined by students in this course who will make presentations based on their research. Professor Gitlin is a recipient of the Yale Alumni Association's Howard R. Lamar Faculty Award.
