Reducing carbon emissions is crucial for combating climate change, but reductions alone won’t be enough. In 2021, a transformative gift from Federal Express allowed Yale to launch its new Center for Natural Carbon Capture — part of the university’s Planetary Solutions Project — to study the fundamental and applied science of capturing carbon using natural methods.
