In the fall of 2017, Yale opened two new residential colleges. For residents of Pauli Murray and Benjamin Franklin, this kicked off a process of creating college traditions to match those of “the Lower Twelve” — a process soon disrupted by the pandemic, necessitating a recent restart. In this session you’ll hear how the new colleges are establishing their own traditions, and see one of the newest ones: wall murals that students have painted in the lower level.
