Since U.S. News & World Report began its annual rankings of American law schools three decades ago, it has ranked Yale #1 every year. Yet this past November, Yale announced its withdrawal from the rankings, and soon afterward Harvard and other law schools followed suit. In explaining how this turn of events came about, Dean Gerken will expound on the Yale Law experience, her vision to redefine legal education, and the many ways that Yale is leading the way forward.
