Join us under the tent for performances from Rich Faschan and Sam Austin!
Rich Faschan traded his Yale moniker of "The Hulk” for “Clumsy Fingers” as he struggled to learn to play guitar at age 45. He performs on a regular basis at a variety of local (PA) venues, summer concert series, and various seasonal events. He has recorded three studio albums and is currently working on a novelty song collection. His songs have aired on radio and TV, and streaming music services. Rich is happy to share the ever-improving results of his efforts to put lyrics to music with classmates who love 1970s style singer-songwriter tunes at Friday evening Coffeehouse.
At age 12 Sam Austin starred in and wrote the theme song for the World of Disney episode Mountain Born. Six years later he was singing with the Yale SOBs. This prompted him to take a gap year during which he wrote music, lyrics and most of the book for our 1979 commencement musical Makin’ Light. Sam revived his songwriting during the pandemic, and made it to the Finals at the SanRemoSenior International competition for solo singers and solo singer songwriters in both 2022and 2023. He is thrilled to be performing for classmates at Friday evening Coffeehouse.
