— 65th Reunion
May 21 - 24, 2026

WELCOME to the 65th REUNION!

Jonathan Edwards College

The members of your 65th Reunion planning committee are pleased to share information about our upcoming reunion celebration on campus at Yale from May 21 to 24. We hope you are going to join us in New Haven and look forward to a wonderful gathering of classmates and friends and to sharing memories of our beloved Yale. We have many special events and highlights planned for our Y’61 65th Reunion. Our milestone celebration begins with reunion registration opening at our Jonathan Edwards (JE) 65th Reunion Headquarters Thursday afternoon at 2pm, followed by the Reunion Kick Off Dinner at the venerable Mory’s. It will also include powerful Morning at Yale Classes Friday and Saturday, a JE display of classmate Creations and Memorabilia, Yale Provost Scott Strobel’s exclusive address to Y’61, and the Friday Memorabilia Dinner at JE. Saturday begins with our Y’61 buffet breakfast at The Omni Hotel, and also includes a Saturday Service of Remembrance at Dwight Hall. Saturday afternoon is when we can hear the University Update by President McGinnis and attend the Celebration of Yale Singing. A highlight of the weekend is sure to be the Saturday Class Dinner, followed by the Y’61 Closing Cabaret Night at Yale's University Theater, featuring fellow Yalie Melissa Errico. Details on these events can be found by clicking the "Weekend Schedule" tab at the top of this page.

A signature aspect of our reunion will be the Class Creative Work & Memorabilia Display. Beyond “normal work,” many of us have found outlets through activities and creations that classmates are not likely aware of and we invite you to share your creations and memorabilia in our Memorabilia Hall in JE! The room will share whatever you have enjoyed and worked at creating, experiences, books, other written work, visual arts, crafts in any form - paper, fabric, weaving, wood, metal, and ceramics are all welcome, and works too large to bring can be represented in photographs, along with explanatory material.

On the memorabilia front, while we don’t likely need 23 motheaten Yale pennants, there’s plenty of other items that will be a joy to share.

All materials will be assembled on your arrival at JE, labeled in advance, and displayed on Friday and Saturday, and be available for pickup late Saturday. You can indicate your participation on the reunion registration form, or send your ideas to Ron O’Connor, at occonor.rw@gmail.com or call him at 617-901-5384 to further discuss your possible submission.

As you can see, this promises to be a most memorable celebration of The Forever Undefeated Class of 1961! We hope you will be joining us in New Haven!

Class dues support our Class activities, but they are not considered gifts to Yale. As we prepare for our momentous 65th reunion, we invite you to honor this milestone by making a gift to an area of the university that holds personal significance to you. Contributions to the Alumni Fund (unrestricted), endowed funds (restricted), and planned gifts all count towards our reunion gift. Your generosity will not only support our Class but also enhance the broader Yale community.

Our 65th Reunion is FREE for classmates, plus one guest!

Return, Reflect, & Reimagine Old Yale at No Cost. Thanks to our annual dues and careful management by our class leadership, our Class Treasury is covering reunion attendee expenses including drinks and meals.

Additional Guests (beyond the first) will carry a cost of $450 per guest.  Due to capacity limits, additional guests may be unable to participate in certain meals and programs, most notably our dinner Thursday night at Mory's. Our expectation/preference is that classmates limit themselves to a single guest.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
Online registration will remain open through reunion weekend, though we strongly encourage you to register by May 1st.  Those who register after May 1st may be unable to attend certain meals and programs, such as our dinner on Thursday night at Mory's.
