Dear 1986 Classmates,
Please join us for the Class of 1986 40th Reunion Celebration, Thursday, May 28 - Sunday, May 31. The weekend will be full of opportunities to connect, learn, celebrate, and enjoy each other’s company. We can’t wait to come together!Â
To encourage participation, we have kept the fees as low as possible: $380/person for the entire event; $275/person for Friday only or $305/person for Saturday only (fixed costs do not permit us to go lower).Â
We hope to open the weekend on Thursday night with a mid-evening welcome gathering (8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.) at the Blake Hotel (corner of High Street & George Street), but need attendance feedback from you all on numbers (see below). The weekend schedule includes Yale driven and our own class curated programming, cocktails, dinners, an architectural tour, our very own Whiffenpoofs and a DJ spinning ‘80s classics at our Saturday night party. We’ll wrap up Sunday morning with a goodbye breakfast.  Â
The goal of our class programming is to create openings for dialogue, reflection and learning, thanks to the leadership of Rich Bradley and Tom Banchoff. Rich and Tom are structuring the sessions to encourage participation and collective engagement.Â

You can reserve a bed per-person, per night, at a rate of $85 when you register for your reunion using the blue button above. Visit the What You Need to Know More page to learn more about campus housing. Please contact Yale Housing for specific inquiries related to special accommodations.
Reunion fees are set by your reunion chairs and class leadership. The fees cover reunion activities, meals, and operations. We want to help as many classmates as we can attend their reunion and reconnect with the Class of 1985. If the cost of attending is a financial burden, please request financial aid. This support is provided on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
Financial Aid Covers:
- 50% off registration costs for classmates (Reunion Fees & Campus Housing)
Financial Aid Does Not Cover:
- Personal transportation/travel to New Haven
- Local hotels or other accommodations
Confidentiality: Your information is confidential and only seen by Yale Alumni Association staff.
Application Process:
- Please COMPLETE THIS FORMÂ to request confidential financial assistance before registering.Â
- Wait for your application to be reviewed before registering as financial aid cannot adjust payments already made by credit card.
- Register for your reunion using the financial aid code you receive by email.
Deadline: Apply by May 1, 2026. Please request assistance before this deadline. Financial aid is not available for walk-in registrations.
The cancellation deadline to receive a full refund for reunion registration and campus housing is May 1, 2026. After May 1, refunds are based on the Classes recoverable costs and will be evaluated after reunion. You can cancel your registration by logging into your registration or emailing reunions@yale.edu.
Accessibility and special requests discussions must take place before the special request deadline of May 1, 2026. The YAA makes every effort to ensure that reunions are accessible to all alumni and guests. Special transportation and limited ADA accommodations are available.
