Dear Yale ’75 Classmates & Friends:

Welcome to our 50th Reunion, Thursday May 29 - Sunday June 1 in Davenport College!

PLEASE JOIN US!–and encourage your classmates to attend. Our 50th reunion is a major milestone. It will be our biggest reunion ever and our best opportunity to gather and see each other again. And it will be fun!

REGISTRATION. Click on the REGISTER NOW link to register. You’ll be asked (1) whether you wish to register for the entire reunion (which we encourage) or only for Friday or Saturday; (2) which meals you expect to attend; and (3) whether you want to register for on-campus housing at Davenport. Click on Fees, Deadlines and FAQs for more information about reunion fees, meals, housing options, and disability accommodations.

REUNION PROGRAM. The most important part of all reunions is the chance to renew old friendships with classmates and make new friendships–so we’ve left a lot of time for that, particularly during meals and social hours. We are also planning a wide range of activities including talks and panels by classmates, a Class of ‘75 Women’s Luncheon, entertainment by our talented classmates at our Friday evening cabaret, a Class Banquet with entertainment by the Whiffenpoofs of 1975, and much more. There will also be a very wide range of activities organized by the Yale Alumni Association (YAA) for all reunion classes such as campus tours, open houses, lectures by Yale Faculty, and an address by Yale’s new president Maurie D. CLASS BOOK. We are preparing a Fiftieth Reunion Class Book, with space for all of us to share reflections on our Yale experiences and life since Yale. Please contribute to the Class Book! It’s simple. Click on Get Involved! and see the Class Book section for instructions. Don’t miss the April 17 deadline! We’re also seeking memorabilia–of all kinds–to help illustrate the book. Send pictures of you and your roommates, or your draft card, or what the TA wrote on your first organic chemistry exam, or a concert program, or whatever else might bring back memories, to our book editors at parigot@gmail.com.

MEMORIAL WALL. We have lost a painfully large number of our classmates over the past fifty years. To remember our departed classmates, we will create a memorial wall in the Davenport common room. Friends of a departed classmate are invited to create a one-page tribute consisting of photos and recollections, as they see fit. Please send your contributions by May 5 to Javade Chaudhri.

OUR CLASS SURVEY IS LIVE ONLINE! The YC ’75 50th Reunion Class Survey is now live at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YC75ClassSurvey. Please participate! ASAP, but before May 10, 2025, take 40 minutes to tell us your path since Yale, your achievements and interests, and your feelings on important topics. All replies are anonymous, private and confidential. Click the link to read about Class Survey incentives and Raffle prizes – including a special Yale donation for each response by April 26. We’re counting on you to reconnect with classmates by sharing and comparing your views at this milestone moment.

CLASS WEBSITE. We are modifying and expanding our Class Website to allow us to share and appreciate the amazing breadth of activities of the Class of ’75, including links to classmates’ professional and personal websites, books, scientific articles, graphic arts, musical and other artistic performances, pictures from our Yale years–and much more. BOOK FAIR. Many of our classmates have written highly acclaimed books, both fiction and non-fiction. Aimee Liu and Eric Goodman are organizing a book fair to showcase class authors. If you would like to be part of the book fair, including bringing, signing, and selling books you have authored, please sign up here.

REUNION GIFT EFFORT. The 50th Reunion Gift Committee is making good progress towards our reunion gift goal. Please join those donors: gifts of all sizes are meaningful.
